CAPEX is an Apex Society is to procure raw nuts, distribute the same to the Primaries and get it processed by the Primaries and market the processed kernels. All these are done to provide continuous employment and job security to the workers who were thrown out of their job at the time of taking over. The employees strength of the 10 factories is above 5000. More then 90% of the workers were women and belongs to backward classes.

CAPEX is the only largest cashew processing unit in the Co-operative sector under Industries Department, Govt. of Kerala.
